Down home recipes, preserved for the ages. Southern cuisine at it's saliva-inducing finest.
Donis Foote was known throughout Southwest Mississippi as a master cook & baker, specializing in authentic "down home," mouth-watering, Mississippi cooking. Before her death, her family helped her painstakingly comb through years and years of her favorite recipes in order to compile a cookbook through which her mastery could be passed down through the generations.
Aunt Donis, known as "Dossie" to many, cooked everything under the sun. There are recipes that fall into the following categories: soups & salads, vegetables & side dishes, main dishes, breads & rolls (one of her areas of particular mastery!), desserts (her other BOO YAH category!), cookies & candy, and a "this & that" section.
Approximately 140 pages.
